Carers Events
Information, support and activities for unpaid carers living in Bexley.
To mark the vital and often unsung role of Bexley’s unpaid carers, we are organising two free events –
- Wednesday 11th June from 1-5pm, The Nest Community Centre, Cygnet Square, Thamesmead (above the library). SE2 9FA.
- Wednesday 9th July, 10am-2pm, Bexley Holiday Inn, Black Prince Interchange, DA5 1ND.
If you are looking after someone, then why not come along and talk to other carers? There will be a gift bag for all carers on arrival, a free buffet lunch and refreshments. There’s support and advice on hand from local organisations who work with carers and free activities such as massage, reiki and gentle exercises. We want to give you some time to look after yourself, recharge your batteries a little and have a sympathetic ear.
There is free parking close by to the Nest and onsite at the Holiday Inn, or public transport routes close by. However, if you need help with transport, or help looking after your loved one, please let us know and we will try to help you organise something.
