Case Study Tom's Story

Tom has been helping his mum because she has been struggling to move around as easily and manage everything at home that she used to.

Every week he does her shopping, helps her with her letters and arranges all of her appointments with her. He works full time and as his mum starts to need more help he struggles with being able to be there as much as she needs.

Although Tom doesn’t feel that he is a carer his friend suggests he calls a local carer’s charity who give him useful information and put him in touch with support that he is eligible for.
